FREEPORT – Cora E. Penseiro, 93, formerly of Hawthorne Street, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, at Freeport Nursing Home.

She was born in Belfast, May 27, 1911, the daughter of Blanchard C. and Dora Bowden Roberts.

She graduated from Stevens High School, Rumford, Class of 1929.

She was employed at New England Telephone Company in Rumford and Bath for over 40 years. She moved here from Rumford in 1960.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Loyalty Club of United Methodist Church and the Brunswick Evergreens.

She was predeceased by a sister, Grace B. Roberts.

She is survived by a son, Dwight J. Penseiro and his wife, Debbie, of Freeport; two nieces, Betty Miller of Attleboro, Mass., and Grace Martinez of San Mateo, Calif.; several grandnieces and grandnephews, including Cathy Penseiro of New Hampshire.
