NORWAY – Wilfred S. Martin, 79, of South Paris, died Wednesday, June 2, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
Born in Randolph, Vt., Sept. 3, 1924, the son of Leni and Myrna Course Martin, he was educated in Dresden schools.
He married Grace Martin, who predeceased him on Jan. 31, 1993.
He had been a boiler operator and maintenance man at A. L. Stewart & Sons for 22 years.
He faithfully served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Phillips and his wife Diana of Norway, Wilfred Martin, Jr. of Oxford, and Danny C. Martin of Oxford; a daughter, Jean Phillips of South Paris; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother and his wife, Alvin and Donna Gross; a niece, Lyda Gross; and a great-granddaughter, Kayle Shea Phillips.
