1915 – 2004

LEWISTON – Roland Paul Barrett, 88, of Lisbon Falls died on Feb. 7, at CMMC with his loving family at his side.

He was born on June 10, 1915, in Lisbon Falls, the son of Peter and Pauline (Baker) Barrett.

He graduated from Lisbon High School in 1932. He served his country proudly for over three years as a Sgt.in the 89th Anti-aircraft Artillery in the ETO and earned a Bronze Star.

He retired from the Worumbo Mill in Lisbon Falls and always assisted his wife in their home daycare. He enjoyed spending his time with his family. He loved to share his love for nature with daily nature walks with his children and grandchildren and the children in their daycare.

His life long hobby was stamp collecting.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marion Roberts Barrett; daughter, Kathie Crooker; son, James Barrett; grandchildren, Stephanie and husband Byron Hartley, Scott Crooker and fiancée Bobbi Arnold, Eric Crooker and wife Diane; great-grandchildren, Jared, BrieAnna, Joshua Hartley, Kayla, Disantra Crooker; brothers, Bernard Barrett and wife Lucille, William Barrett and wife Helen; sister, Madeline Tupper and husband Lionel; many brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Donald; and his parents.
