1909 – 2004

LEWISTON – Grace E. Clough, 94, a longtime resident of Livermore Falls, died Friday, Jan. 9, at Montello Manor Nursing Home where she had been a patient since Oct. of 2002. She had previously resided at Parkview Nursing Home in Livermore Falls since 2001.

She was born in Jay on June 8, 1909, the daughter of Eugene and Eugenia Marquis LaLaberte and attended Livermore Falls schools.

On June 30, 1934, she married Donald Clough of Chesterville. They made their home on Otis Street in Livermore Falls for many years. He passed away in 1970.

She worked at the Glove Shop in Livermore, Livermore Shoe Company in Livermore Falls, and the Lakeshore Restaurant in Livermore.

She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay and a former member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Ladies of St. Anne and of the Jay-Livermore Falls Senior Citizens.

She is survived by two nephews and their wives, John and Alice DeMoras of Jay, and Henry and Colleen DeMoras of New York; four nieces, Marguerite Moras of Livermore, Marcelle Ballard of Albuquerque, N.M., Rosie Glasbrook of Lewiston, and Gabrielle DeMoras of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by a brother, Eugene LaLaberte; and two sisters, Alice DeMoras and Bertha Lemmon.
