1920 – 2004

LEWISTON – Florence M. Veilleux, 83, formerly of 18 Hogan Road, went to be with the Lord Thursday afternoon, Jan. 8, at Montello Manor surrounded by her family.

She was born in Auburn, April 9, 1920, a daughter of John B. and Sidonie (Lacourse) Cloutier. She attended local schools, attended the Acme Business College and remained a lifelong resident of this community.

On May 30, 1949, she married Oram Veilleux who passed away July 23, 1991. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for the family business formerly known as Twin City Overhead Door.

She was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul’s Church and in her free time she loved dancing, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She leaves two daughters, Connie Veilleux of Lewiston and Jacqueline Lizotte and husband Ed of Sabattus; one son, Robert D. Veilleux and wife Diane of Lewiston; 11 grandchildren, Gina Breton, Angela Connor, Amy Veilleux, Michael Veilleux, Mandy Hill, Sarah Veilleux, Haley Veilleux, Patrick Veilleux, Cindy Lizotte, Jill Lizotte, and Julie Lizotte; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gerard Cloutier of Seattle, Wash., and Richard Cloutier and wife Franca of Detroit, Mich.; and a cousin, Bert Vallee and wife Mary Ann of Auburn. She was predeceased by a sister, Yvette Cloutier.
