1915 – 2003
FARMINGTON – Katherine A. Masselli, 88, of Knowlton Corner Road, Farmington, died Monday evening, Dec. 29, at her home.
She was born Sept. 25, 1915, in Brockton, Mass., a daughter of Katherine Bailus Martinkus.
She graduated from South Boston High School and on Sept. 22, 1940, married Anthony E. Masselli. She worked in the Bookbinding Business in South Boston many years, retiring to Maine, where she and her husband made
their home with their daughter and son-in-law, Arleen and Robert Govoni.
Mrs. Masselli enjoyed gardening and travelling. She was an animal lover, particularly of dogs and cats and adored her little pug dog, Sheba.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Anthony of Farmington, formerly of Brockton, Mass.; one son, Ronald Masselli and his wife, Paulette of Bridgewater, Mass.; three daughters, Katherine Merola and her husband, Frank of East Falmouth, Mass., Sandra Morello and her husband, Anthony of Arlington, Mass., and Arleen Govoni and her husband Robert of Farmington; a brother, Peter Martinkus of Quincy, Mass.; a sister, Stacia McGrail of Braintree, Mass.; and eight grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, Julius Martinkus.
