1938 – 2003

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. – Carolyn Dean Sweetser, 65, of Richlands, N.C., and formerly of Buckfield, died in North Carolina, on Dec. 16.

She was born in West Paris on Feb. 5, 1938, the daughter of Ralph and Lila Dean and had lived most of her life on Crockett Ridge in Norway. She was a homemaker most of her life.

She is survived by two sons, Samuel Sweetser Jr., and his wife Paula of Morrisdale, Pa., and Frank Sweetser and his wife Betty of Buckfield; one daughter, Roxanna Stafford and her husband Frank of Westbrook; one sister, Elsie McLaughlin of Lakeland, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Sweetser Sr.
