SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Ladan Iman of Auburn is the recipient of the 2017 Springfield College John M. Wilson Diversity Leadership Award.
The award recognizes a student who embodies the legacy of John M. Wilson, the Springfield College director of multicultural affairs who dedicated his life to working across differences toward mutual understanding and acceptance.
The recipient demonstrates sensitivity and commitment to differences reflected in race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation and religion. The student possesses an ability to lead by reaching out to groups of students enrolled at Springfield College, and has demonstrated a commitment to fostering a community that is safe and more inclusive for everyone.
Iman is majoring in sociology.
