1925-2003
RUMFORD – Constance E. (Biden) Chaisson, 78, of 220 Franklin St., Rumford, died Saturday morning, Nov. 15, at her home following a long illness.
She was born in Marysville, New Brunswick, Canada on June 6, 1925, the daughter of George and Margaret (White) Biden. At age two, she moved with her family to Mexico, where she lived most of her life. She graduated from Mexico High School with the class of 1942. In 1946 she married the late Edgar Chaisson.
She enjoyed the time she spent with her family and especially visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Dummers Beach, reading novels and spending Sunday afternoons at the movies. Her love of animals, especially cats, was well known by those who knew her best. Many strays, including “Pee Wee” found their way to her door over the years. She lovingly took them in and cared for them.
Survivors include: two sons, Stephen Chaisson of Frye and Randall Chaisson and his wife, Donna, of Rumford; two daughters, Kathleen Boucher and her husband, Steven, of Oquossoc, and Karen Chaisson and her long time companion, Brian McPherson, of Rumford Point; eight grandchildren, Cynthia Benton, Judith Gallant, Josie Poulin, Brian Pingree, Craig Chaisson, Scott Chaisson, Jeffery Chaisson and Robert Pingree, Jr.; six great grandchildren, Nicole Belskis, Kurtis Brown, Kayla Pingree, Trevor Brown, Tessa Pingree and Dalton Pingree; two brothers, Ronald Biden of Beaverton, Ore. and William Biden of Fairbanks, Alaska; and one sister, Hazel Charlton of Venice, Fla.
She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Andrew and George, Jr. and one sister Doris.
