1940 – 2003

Durham – Janice E. Griffin, 63, passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, at her home with family at her side, following a brief illness.

She was born in Freeport on June 6, 1940, to William E. and Elsie Stowell Griffin Sr.

She is survived by her mother, Elsie Griffin of Freeport; five sons, James Gavin of Auburn, Michael Gavin of Auburn, William Gavin of Freeport, Scott Gavin and his wife Linda of Freeport, and Edward Reynolds of Freeport; a brother, William Griffin Jr. and his sons Trent and Nathan; her sisters, Sharon Griffin and her two sons Jeffery and Patrick, and Christine Goehring and her husband Mark and daughter Zoe. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brandie Martin and her husband Rick, Stephanie Gavin, and Jacklyn Reynolds.

She was predeceased by her father, William E. Griffin Sr.; a brother, John Griffin; and a grandson, Jerome Gavin.
