1970 – 2003

LEWISTON – Scott D. Brooks, 33, a resident of 5 Ledgemere Lane, Lewiston died Thursday, Oct. 16, at Central Maine Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was born in Lewiston, July 2, 1970, the son of Milo Brooks and the former Eunice Channell. He attended Greene schools, and was a 1988 graduate of Lewiston High School. Following high school, he traveled before settling down and attended engineering trade school where he learned to become a heavy equipment operator.

He had been employed with United Rentals in Scarborough until his illness. He was a member of the Local 4 Union of Operating Engineers of Boston, Mass. He was also an accomplished cook as second chef at the former Marois Restaurant for seven years working for Antoinette Orestis. He adored his wife, Gina and their children, and also loved his motor vehicle projects. He also volunteered as a hockey coach for the Westbrook youth hockey league. He was very athletic and enjoyed extreme mountain biking and cliff jumping.

Besides his wife the former Gina Foley of Lewiston survivors include his father, Milo Brooks of Norway; his mother, Eunice Marquis and his stepfather, Norm Marquis of Old Orchard Beach; his mother-in-law, Judy Foley of Auburn; one son, Tristan Lee Brooks of Lewiston; one daughter, September Marie Brooks of Lewiston; one brother, James A. Brooks of Old Orchard Beach; one sister, Heather and her husband, Bill Brown of Salem, Mass.; two stepbrothers, Peter Marquis of Old Orchard Beach and David Marquis and his wife, Debbie of Lewiston; one stepsister, Jacqueline Marquis of Old Orchard Beach; one brother-in-law, James A. Foley of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews.
