1933 – 2003
LEWISTON – Antoinette C. “Toni” Giguere, 70, of 29 Randall Road, living with her daughter, Marie and family, and formerly of Rosedale Acres died early Wednesday morning, Sept. 24, at d’Youville Pavilion surrounded by her family.
She was born in Edmunston, N.B., Feb. 9, 1933, a daughter of Firmin and Lydia Lagasse Bouchard. Mrs. Giguere worked many years in local shoe manufacturing mills and later spent several years as a homemaker.
She was a member of Holy Family Church and enjoyed playing Beano, doing puzzles and other various crafts and her cats. Her strength and determination during her health struggle in the past year was an example of how strong the will to live can be.
She leaves two daughters, Madeline Gendron and husband Armand Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va., and Ann Marie Plourde and husband George Sr. of Lewiston; a son, Rickey Giguere and his girlfriend Victoria Ouderkirk of Frankfort, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Tina Boucher, Armand Gendron III, George Plourde Jr. and wife Cecile, Jessie Plourde, Amy, Brian and David Giguere; one great-granddaughter, Jazmyn McGhee; six sisters, Anne Pelletier and husband Andre, Cecile Gagne, Lucienne Levesque, Bernadette Pelletier and husband Normand all of Edmunston, N.B., Georgette King and husband Donald of Van Buren and Simonne Bouchard of Madawaska; two brothers, Antoine, who was her twin, and Pio Bouchard both of Montreal; and many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Mona Thibault of Lewiston.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Jeanne Marquis and Noella Pelletier; and one brother, Lucien Bouchard.
