1927 – 2003

LEWISTON – Muriel F. Gagne, 76, of Lewiston, died Thursday, Aug. 28 at St. Mary’s Hospital.

She was born in Berlin, N.H., May 18, 1927, a daughter of Alphonse and Marie-Anne (Morin) Lessard.

She graduated from St. Regis Academy in Berlin, N.H. and was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church.

She was employed for many years in the Housekeeping Department at Marcotte Nursing Home/d’Youville Pavilion.

She enjoyed watching soap operas, cleaning and making Sunday dinner for her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Gagne of Auburn; her ex-husband, Aime “Jimmy” Gagne of Auburn; five sisters, Irene Demers of Auburn, Lorraine Angers of Stratford, Conn., Doris Fournier of San Antonio, Texas, Yvette Longtin of Lewiston and Claire Rossignol of Bucksport; and several nieces and nephews and brothers-in-law.
