AUBURN – Murray J. “Pava” Berry, 76, of Lewiston, died Sunday, June 8, at Clover Health Care facility.
Born in Solon, May 25, 1927, the son of Truman and Beulah (Jackson) Berry, he attended Solon schools and served with the U.S.Army during the Korean War.
He was a former resident of Madison, where he was employed at the Kennebec River Pulp and Paper Mill for many years. He has been a resident of the Lewiston/Auburn area since 1985.
Survivors include three daughters, Susan Veinott of Sabattus, Kathryn Merrill of Lewiston and Leann Veinott of Auburn; four sons, Thomas Berry of North Anson, Sean Berry of Auburn and Frank Berry and Chris Berry of Lewiston; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Rita Andrews and her husband, Kenneth of Bingham; and several nieces and nephews. Two sons, Murray James “Jimmy” Berry II and Phillip Berry and a grandson, Michael Berry, died previously.
