1912 – 2003

NORWAY – Mabel A. Thomas, 90, a resident of Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center died Wednesday, April 16.

She was born at Dixfield on Dec. 9, 1912, the daughter of Leroy and Helen Burnham Haynes. She was one of nine children. She was educated in the Canton schools. She married Ralph Thomas on April 2, 1932. He predeceased her in June of 1996.

She was a member of the Elm Vale Eastern Star, Bolsters Mills. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and reading.

She is survived by three daughters, Phyllis Thurston of South Paris, Rachel Trundy and her husband Walter of Hebron and Pamela Rector and her husband Curtis of South Paris; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a brother, Cecil Haynes and his wife Bertrude of Conn.

She was predeceased by two sons, Ralph, Jr. and Arnold; and a grandson, Scott Rector.
