TOGAS – George P. Lahey, 74, of Auburn, died Saturday, Aug. 28, at the Veteran’s Hospital after a short illness.
He was born in Biddeford, on March 13, 1930, the son of Charles and Elsie (Crossman) Lahey.
He was a graduate of Biddeford High School. He then entered the United States Army serving during the Korean War.
In 1951, he married the former Jeanne Lagasse, who died in 1971. Later in 1972, he married the former Glenice Dean, who passed away March 12, 2004.
Mr. Lahey enjoyed working around the house and was an avid reader.
He leaves one daughter, Colleen Lahey, and her husband, Richard Soucy, of Casco; two step-daughters, Paula James, of Lewiston, and Leslie and her husband, Denis Libby, of Westford, Mass.; two step-sons, Peter and his wife, Mary MacDonald, of Auburn, and David MacDonald, of Greene; one sister, Patricia Leach, of Bristol, R.I.; numerous grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
