NORTH BERGEN, N.J. – Kenneth W. Smith, 73, of North Bergen, N.J., died unexpectedly at Meadowlands Hospital in N.J., Jan. 21.

He was born in Leeds, Sept. 25, 1930, the son of Amos and Carlis Burnham Daniels Smith. He was educated in the one room school houses of Leeds. He graduated from Monmouth Academy in 1949, and graduated from CMGH School of Radiology in Lewiston.

He served active status as a Medic in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1951-1960 finishing as a Sgt. He worked at Bendiner & Schlesinger Medical Laboratory on 47th & 3rd Ave. in Manhatten, N.Y., as an X-ray technician from 1958 until his retirement in 1995.

He is survived by many cousins; and many, many friends from all over the United States & Europe.

He was predeceased by his parents; one brother, Nathaniel Daniels; and one sister, Beatrice Smith.
