SOUTH PARIS – Judith A. (Dobson) Stearns, 64, of South Paris died Wednesday evening, May 5, in her home, after a four-year battle with Leukemia.

She was born July 28, 1939, daughter of Urbain and Marie Dobson.

She was a graduate of Presque Isle High School and Aroostook State Teachers College. She taught in the Oxford Hills School District in South Paris, where she met and married Stephen P. Stearns, her loving husband of 41 years.

She was also an active member of the Third Order of St. Dominic.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen; their four children, W. Adam Stearns and his wife Vanessa, Shannon Dostie and her husband Donald, Sesilie Oehler and her husband Lance, and Elisia Stearns; seven grandchildren, Matthew Stearns, Andrew Stearns, Zachary Stearns, Erin Dostie, Brianna Dostie, Benjamin Dostie, and Cailey Oehler; her mother, Marie Dobson; sisters, Cecile Wilcox and Gale Martin; and brother, Steven Dobson.

She was predeceased by her father, Urbain Dobson and her brother, Wesley Dobson.

Her passions were serving The Lord, her family, and her friends, with a positive, upbeat and unselfish attitude to the very end. Anyone who had the chance to meet her knew that she was living the perfect example of Christ. She was an inspiration to us all and will be sadly missed.
