AUBURN – Russell E. McIver, 81, of Keay Road, Sabattus, died Thursday, Aug. 10, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
Born in Bowdoin on Jan. 11, 1925, he was a son of the late Edward and Huldah (Harris) McIver.
Russell married Edith Curtis on May, 22 1949, and together they had three daughters. She died on July 27, 1973.
He worked at the Pejepscot Paper Mill in the maintenance department.
Russell was a member of The Lower Club and was an avid fisherman and hunter, he loved being in the woods.
He leaves three daughters, Crystal Chapman and her husband, William III, of Monmouth, Faye Poulin and husband, Claude, of Bowdoin, and Wendy Parks and husband, Thomas, of Sabattus; six grandchildren, William Chapman and wife, Heather, Russell Chapman, Forrest and Matthew Parks, and Amy and Anthony Poulin; two sisters, Arline Small of Lisbon Falls, and Eva Kacsmar and husband, Frank, of Lisbon Falls; three great-grandchildren, Ryan and Kassondra Chapman, and Cameron Meier; and two sisters-in-law, Evelyn and Ginny McIver.
He was predeceased by four brothers, Hebert, James, Leon and Leroy.
