LEWISTON — A surprise party was held recently for Thomas and Dorothy Peak of Lewiston on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple was married Sept. 26, 1959.
Party hosts were their son, David and wife, Christine, granddaughter, Heather and niece, Jennifer and Russell Morin.
The couple was married at the Federated Church, now Calvary United Methodist Church. They celebrated their 25th and 50th anniversaries at the same church. About 75 guests were waiting for them.
Mr. Peak and the former Dorothy Larrabee have two children, Debbie Ann Peak Smith and David, and they have two grandchildren, Samuel Smith and Heather Peak.
Mrs. Peak worked at Knapp Shoes, Auburn Parking District and Fleet Bank. She is a member of Calvary Methodist Church in Lewiston.
Mr. Peak served in the U.S. Air Force, worked at Philips Elmet, Wilson Foods, Armons Meat and retired from Philips Elmet. He is also a member of Calvary Methodist Church.
