Sonia Taylor, director of the Jesus Party urban youth outreach, will lead a mobile prayer meeting that will focus on Lewiston Schools, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26. Two passenger vans will depart from the Jesus Party headquarters, 291 Bates St., and will travel to Longley Elementary, Martel Elementary, Lewiston High School, Farwell Elementary, McMahon Elementary, Montello Elementary, Raymond Geiger Elementary and Lewiston Middle School. The event will take approximately one hour to complete. Participants will be encouraged to pray for principals, teachers, staff and students. Prayers will be offered for an increase in wisdom and knowledge to face today’s challenges, effective learning, school safety and racial unity. Anyone interested in participating in the prayer journey can contact the ministry by calling 786-5568, or those who would like to pray from their homes can also contact the ministry to receive a prayer package consisting of pictures of all eight schools and names of their principals.
