I have been, until this election, a registered Republican all of my voting life. I’m ready for a change.

I’m not naive enough to believe that things will change overnight, but people have to begin by not subscribing to the same tired policies that have led the nation to the current mess.

I do believe that Barack Obama and Joe Biden can start the nation on the right road toward solving the economic, energy, and health care problems.

The bottom line for me is this: The economy, my national pride and my faith in my children’s and grandchildren’s futures are substantially worse off than eight years ago.

In addition, I abhor the ugly, nasty, racial slurs made recently.

Ready for a change? You bet I am.
