My thanks to the Sun Journal for the story on Dorothy Gatchell (April 15). She was my kindergarten teacher back in 1995. In a school system that was failing its students miserably, Mrs. Gatchell was a ray of hope. And while I don’t remember all the lessons she taught, I do remember how she made us feel – loved.
