I do not think it is very smart to extend the city administrator’s job before the new increased tax statements come out. Second; I think that the city council should expect the city administrator to reduce administrative expenses the same percentage that the tax rate increases.

The taxpayer on a fixed income now has to do without because our governing body in this city and state cannot control its spending and waste. All the bonds that no one seems to have voted for, or will admit to, is now 9.78 percent of the total budget. When will this ever stop?

If the bonds were rejected our taxes would have gone down by 9.78 percent. Is it time to change all the council? I think the city administrator should be an elected office, and not in an off-month. I think all voting should be done in a one-time vote on or in November!

Perhaps the mayor should also become the city administrator as one paying job.
