Why does the war on terror have to be waged at home?
You know, I hate to make this obvious observation, given how committed we are to the fight, but we can’t win the war on terror elsewhere. It can only be won where the terror is.
No one in this country was terrified of Saddam Hussein until President George Bush Sr. introduced us to him.
I suspect when we feel able to smile at our neighbors is when the terror in our hearts will be diminished, if not conquered.
