The law prohibiting smoking with kids under 18 in the car sounds like a really good law.
I don’t think people should be able to smoke in the car with kids, because some of us get sick to our stomachs from the smell of a lit cigarette. Also sometimes when people are smoking, it causes the windows in the car to get all foggy, and it makes it so the driver can’t see and they could end up in a car crash.
Sometimes kids get sick of smelling like smoke when they get to school in the morning. Then some will jump to conclusions, and think they smoke when they really don’t.
When people smoke in the car it circulates through the whole car, and ends up getting in everyone’s lungs that are breathing in that car. This is what you would call second-hand smoke.
I would like Lewiston-Auburn to have the same law.
