This concerns the recent city of Auburn revaluation. My question is, where is all that extra money from the new revaluation going? Since my taxes went up 367 percent, are the city workers going to get 367 percent more pay than they are getting now? For example, if they earn $500 per week now, will they get $1,840 per week when all that tax money comes in?

Is the city manager going to get that kind of a raise?

Are the new businesses that are building new buildings going to get a tax break, paid for by the homeowners in the city of Auburn?

Is my home that I have owned about 35 years, that was built in the 1800s with the old rock foundations, uneven floor timbers, crooked doors, creaky stairs and partial cellar with dirt floor, being compared with the new places that are costing $250,000 to $355,000?

Is my car worth more now because someone just bought a new one that cost 367 percent more?

I would like these questions answered in language I, and the rest of us taxpayers, can understand.
