This is in response to the letter (Oct. 13) from Ronald Hecker about the Rev. Michael Seavey. We must look at the records of both the Maine gay lobby and the Maine Civil Liberties Union. The Maine gay lobby makes its homosexual agenda the moral equivalency of heterosexuality, and sends the message to our youth that homosexuality is just another equal choice.
Homosexuals challenge the moral absolutes of both the Judeo and Christian heritage that society has honored for 5,000 years. Kind of brazen, I say, but they do not stop there. They are trying to change marriage and the family. Outrageous.
The agenda of the American Civil Liberties Union also rejects the moral absolutes of our heritage. The shame of Rev. Seavey’s public embrace of these two groups is that these groups work against the very institution that Seavey wishes to promote.
I recently read how Kevin Jennings, founder of the Gay and Lesbian Education Network, which has invaded our schools with pro-homosexual propaganda for at least 10 years, proudly proclaimed, “We are winning the minds and hearts of the high school and middle school kids!”
People should check out what is happening in those schools, many times behind the backs of unsuspecting parents
That pro-homosexual propaganda instills in those young minds the idea that homosexuality is just another equal choice.
The Rev. Seavey made a grave mistake.
