Why is it so hard for the Sun Journal, or the media in general for that matter, to confront the facts about the base closings and huge job losses in Maine? A caveman can see that Sens. Snowe and Collins do not support their president nor his administration, for example the petition withholding Maine’s support for the war in Iraq, and, more recently, the “deal” to end filibusters. They have absolutely no loyalty to their party.

Why are they getting a pass on this issue? Instead, they’re being held up as heroes in the fight.

Maine is reaping what it has sown, and justly so.

I’m a Republican, and no Republican I know sees it any other way.
