This morning while attempting to complete some work at home, I received four pre-recorded phone calls from individuals extolling the virtues of George Bush’s presidency, programs and plans if re-elected.

I consider these calls a form of harassment on the part of George Bush and the Republican Party. My name and phone number are on both the federal and state “no-call” list for telemarketers, but apparently these regulations and restrictions do not apply to this obnoxious form of political campaigning.

If I had ever entertained thoughts of supporting Bush, this rash of calls has certainly changed my mind. By the way, I have not received similar calls from the Kerry-Edwards campaign. If the Republicans want to convince me to vote for their candidate, at least they could have a live person call me.
