Several letters to the editor have appeared very critical of the Auburn City Council and one of a private phone conversation that was made with Mr. DeFilipp, Ward 3 councilman.
The City Council is trying to keep the Auburn tax rate reasonable and payable by many young families.
The superintendent of schools does not seem to realize that her asking for more staff and administrators has gone beyond what the city of Auburn needs and can afford.
Other city departments are operating on strict, bare-bones budgets. Our finances belong in the classroom where children are educated, not in administration and staff. Support the classroom teacher.
