Dirt bike races on a public dirt road. I don’t remember how many days. I do remember the dust and noise. They never raced after dark and only on weekends.

This is still a dirt road and many dirt bikes and four-wheelers go by. That is one of the reasons I have lived here for over 60 years. I wanted my children to enjoy toys the same way I did growing up.

I have taken my granddaughter to Hemonds and saw many young and old having a grand time.

The town voted yes. They ran a test. Summer weekends are few, why not let people have fun. Oh by the way, the racers camped in a neighbor’s field within a mile, by invitation.
