When I saw the photo on the Aug. 31 front page of the Edward Little High School students, I had to shake my head. Nothing but foolishness was displayed.

Recently, I heard about a program to sponsor a child in need. Why not teach American teenagers to have compassion for such children? From that photo, it is obvious that those teenagers have so much and waste so much.

Let a class adobt a child, contribute the fee, and each student gets to give toward the care and help out, instead of wasting food, etc. That would help those students grow up as responsible adults, and also feel good inside to have helped a child in need.

We are not put on Earth here in America just to consume and waste. We are here to better the life and future.
