A new 180-horsepower turbocharged engine option lets the Chrysler PT Cruiser deliver a power punch.
Available as an option on the Touring Edition and Limited Edition, the engine package includes a four-speed automatic transaxle. A body-color front fascia with larger lower opening, a unique “2.4L Turbo” liftgate badge, large diameter chrome exhaust tip and new 16-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels distinguish 180-horsepower-equipped models from the others in the 2004 PT Cruiser lineup.
A leather-trimmed interior with bolstered performance seats becomes a standard feature on PT Turbo models in 2004. The one-touch-open power moonroof also is made standard, as are 17-inch chrome-plated aluminum wheels, a new leather-wrapped steering wheel with bright silver painted spokes, a new bright pedal package and chrome door lock knobs.
Continuing the phenomenon of customization, the Chrome Accents option has been expanded for 2004. This option adds bright pedals and a new leather-wrapped steering wheel with Satin Silver painted spokes to all of the features in the previous package (chrome/body-color front fascia, chrome bodyside moldings, chrome exhaust tip, bright fuel filler door, chrome door lock knobs, front door sill scuff plates with bright winged logo inserts, chrome shifter bezel on the automatics and Satin Silver shift ball).
