RUMFORD – More than 20 youths took part in the NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass & Kick competition hosted Sept. 21 by Rumford Parks and Rumford Lodge of Elks No. 862. Winners have been announced.

Girls: Age 8-9, Emily Laubauskas, Mexico, 126 feet, six inches; Age 12-13, Brooke Dolloff, Rumford, 187-4; Age 14-15, Christine Briggs, Byron, 244-0.

Boys: Age 8-9, Cooper Chiasson, Dixfield, 163-1; Age 10-11, Matthew Irish, Carthage, 200-5; Age 12-13, Michael Caswell, Falmouth, 283-9; Age 14-15, Colin Merrill, Rumford, 196-2.

Distances are a cumulative total of one punt, one pass and one kick, with scores based on distance and accuracy. Winners move on to a sectional competition Oct. 19 in Rumford. From there, they could qualify for the team championship to be held at Gillette Stadium in conjunction with the Patriots-Bills game.
