LEWISTON – The Maine Spring Table Tennis Open is scheduled for Saturday, May 10 in the Lewiston Armory gymnasium at 65 Central Ave.

The event is sponsored by the Maine Table Tennis League, by STIGA and by Paddle Palace, and it is sanctioned by USA Table Tennis.

This “1” Star Tournament will feature 10 different events, and most events will be in a round- robin format. The Open event features the top prize of $300. In all, over $700 cash prizes will be presented, along with trophies. Twelve tables will be set up for the tournament.

Many players from all over New England have participated in the past and this year promises to be an even bigger attraction.

Any player, regardless of ability, age or gender, may join and play in the Open.

Play begins at 10 a.m. and will continue non-stop till early evening. Spectator admission is free.
