STRATHAM, N.H. – Boys and girls of the Andy Valley Gymnastics Team excelled recently at the Winter Carnival Invitational.

The Level 5 boys’ team won its team competition. Individually, Joey Baumann won first place in the all-around competition for the age 7-8 division. Baumann also won first place on the pommel horse, rings and high bar, second on vault and parallel bars and third in floor exercise. Also in the 7-8 division, Connor Jackson was fourth in all-around and parallel bars, third in pommel horse and first in floor.

In the 9-year-old division, Mathias Demming placed fifth in all-arounnd and pommel, second in vault and fourth on the floor. Donovan Covert was seventh in all-around.

Alec Fisher won the all-around, pommel horse and parallel bars in the 10-11 division. Fisher was second in high bar and fourth in floor and pommel.

At Level 6, Quinton Ray finished fifth in all-around and vault. He also won the floor exercise and was fourth on parallel bars. Austin Hager-Perry finished sixth in all-around, with Morgan Hager-Perry fifth in parallel bars.

The Level 8 boys finished third in the team competition. Josh Abrams took wins in all-around, pommel horse and rings, second on parallel bars and high bar, and third in floor exercise. Dylan Tanguay won floor, parallel bars and high bar and was runner-up in all-around, pommel horse and rings. Max Soifer placed fifth in all-around and third on rings. Patrick Rojas placed sixth in all-around, second on floor and third on pommel.

On the girls’ side, Bethany Ray placed third in the all-around competition at Level 8. She also won on the uneven bars and balance beam. Sandy Ricardi placed fifth in all-around, third on vault and fourth on uneven bars. Tiffany Levesque was sixth in all-around and the winner in uneven bars. Fiona Sterling took fourth on the floor and fifth on the balance beam, with Megan Bayles fourth on balance beam and fifth in vault.

In Level 7, Ellie Rojas placed fifth on balance beam and sixth on floor. Nichole Jones was sixth on uneven bars.

Lauren Berube was fourth in the Level 5 vault. Also competing well were Danielle Rock and Ashleigh Jackson.

In the Prep Opt. division, Tessa Theriault finished fourth in the vault, with Brittany Hutchinson also representing the team well.
