AUBURN – First Stringers dented the win column for the first time this season in the Auburn Rec Men’s Slowdown Basketball League this week. Will White registered 16 points and Wade Hubbard 13 as the Stringers beat Hooligans 54-35. Ben Lachance and Steve Bell scored 10 each for Hooligans. Sid Hazelton added 7.

In other action, Brew Crew had an easy time maintaining the sunberth, gaining a 2-0 forfeit win over Insomniacs.

Pike Industries stayed tied for second with a 51-39 victory over JF Murphy. Carter Edwards and Jake St. Hillaire both netted 14 for Pike. Scott Corriveau led Murphy with 11. Ron Greco was next with 8.

Also tied for second is Scott Thayer Auto after beating LA Orphans 60-38. Chris Randall poured in 20 for the Automen. Dave Ferraro added 17. Matt Derocher scored 16 for Orphans. Aaron Emery added 9.

LA Dox knocked off West Shore 47-39 as Verne Paradie collected 15, Mark Stubbs 14 and Kevin Barret 6. The Westies were paced by Rex Smith (9) and Russ Willliams (6).

Fitness World turned back Free Agents 59-34 as Mike Lance netted 14 and Heath Crocker 11. Marvin Langley collected 14 for Agents. Kevin Blazer added 11.
