AUBURN – Today is the deadline for registering for the the Auburn Rec Men’s Slowdown Basketball League. Rosters must have a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 players. Entry fee is $45 for Auburn residents and $55 for non-residents. An additional team fee will be determined after registration ends.

League play is slated to begin next week. Games are played weeknights at 7:45 and 9 p.m., Monday through Wednesday for a 12-game schedule. A double-elimination tourney will follow.

Any individual desiring to play but not on a team may submit their name to the recreation department office and placed in a player pool. More information is available by calling the Auburn Recreation Department at 784-0191.

Lewiston Grade School

LEWISTON – The Lewiston Rec Grade School Basketball League will resume next week.

A total of 13 teams are entered in the Boys Division, as follows: McMahon Black, Longley, Pettingill White, Farwell Blue, Martel Light Green, St. Joseph’s, Montello Blue, Farwell Gold, McMahon Gold, Holy Cross, Montello Red, Pettingill Blue, Martel Dark Green.

Next week’s schedule at Lewiston Armory: Monday, Nov. 28, 3:30, McMahon Gold vs Holy Cross; Montello Red vs Pettingill Blue; Tuesday, Nov. 29, 3:30, St. Joe’s vs Montello Blue; 4:15, McMahon Black vs Longley; Wednesday, Nov. 30, 3:30, Martel Light Green vs Farwell Blue.

The Girls Division contains 7 teams, as follows: Holy Cross, Martel, McMahon, Montello, Pettingill, St. Joseph’s, Farwell.
