LEWISTON – Post-season champions were crowned Thursday night in the A and B-2 Divisions of the Lewiston Recreation Department Coed Volleyball League at the Multi-Purpose Center.

Just Over The Bridge, the regular-season pennant winner in the A Division, added the post-season title to its laurels. The No. 1 seed started the evening by edging No. 2 Greeley’s Garage in the winners’ bracket, 26-24, 25-21. Greeley’s then met Trytek & Sons (3) in the semifinal match and prevailed 25-23, 25-21. That set up a championship round match between once-beaten Greeley and unbeaten Just Over The Bridge. This time Greeley won a thriller, 14-25, 25-20, 27-25. That set up a second and deciding match. Just Over The Bridge turned back a tired Greeley squad, 25-21, 25-16, to claim the championship.

It was much easier for the No. 1 seed in the B-2 Division. Rowe Builders knocked off Janet McCarthy Realtor (2) in the winner’s bracket, 21-18, 21-7. E.J. Drywall (3) then ousted McCarthy Realtor, 21-18, 17-21, 21-18, in the semifinal match. That set up the championship round between unbeaten Rowe and once-beaten E.J. Drywall. Rowe claimed the title in a wild 3-game match, 24-25, 21-8, 24-22.
