LEWISTON – BT Pallet and Poland Spring earned post-season championships Wednesday night in the Lewiston Rec Men’s Softball League. Each won their best-of-3 series 2-1.

No. 2 Pallet got a grand-slam homer from David Wagg to defeat No. 4 Health Club-Buddy T’s 9-3 and claim the National League title.

In the American League, Poland Spring (1) beat Allaire Construction (2) 11-7.

Tony Gowell is now attempting to schedule a couple of Twin City championship games next week. Pallet would play the Auburn Players League champ in one contest. He is hoping that Poland Spring can play the Auburn runner-up in another game.

It would be a double-header at Pettengill Park.

AUBURN – Major Automotive defeated E.S.M. 12-9 Wednesday night to move into the championship round of the playoffs. Once-beaten

Major Automotive was scheduled to meet undefeated Hart Transportation last night in a championship round game. If Major won, a second and deciding game will be waged Tuesday at 7:00 at Pettengill.

Hart defeated Major Automotive 12-4 Tuesday night to hand Major its first loss of the tourney.
