PORTLAND – Andrew Pinckney blasted a grand slam and knocked in five runs as the Sea Dogs cruised to an 11-2 win over New Hampshire on Tuesday at Hadlock Field. Ryan Khoury had two doubles and four RBIs to cap off a 14-hit attack for Portland.

Kris Johnson earned his first Double-A victory, working five and two-thirds innings on four hits and two runs.

The fifth inning was the magic frame for the Sea Dogs, scoring five times off losing pitcher Brandon Magee. Jeff Corsaletti initiated the scoring by blasting a solo homer over the center-field wall. Magee loaded the bases on Madera’s single and hit Aaron Bates and John Otness – setting up the grand slam for Pinckney. Bubba Bell added a solo-homer in the seventh.

Portland had baserunners in all nine innings with eight of nine starters picking up at least one hit. Madera and Otness had two hits and scored two runs.
