JAY – Liz Leblanc netted a pair of goals to lift Jay to a 5-2 victory over rival Livermore Falls. Katie Hall,
Katie Nemi and Bryndi Richards also scored for the Tigers (9-3) to complete the scoring. Brenda Allen made two saves in net to notch the win.
Whitney McDaniel scored both goals for the Andies (5-7), while Kaylee Morris turned aside four shots between the posts.
Lisbon 4, Mountain Valley 0
RUMFORD – Christy McAuliffe and Amanda Stevens potted two goals apiece as Lisbon rolled to a 4-0 win over Mountain Valley in MVC field hockey action Wednesday.
Stevens also had a pair of assists for the Greyhounds (8-4), while first-time starter Kelsey Piche also was credited with an assist in a strong debut effort.
Monica Lakin made six saves in net to record the shutout, while Jessica Nadeau turned aside 14 shots for the Falcons (5-7).
Telstar 4, Dirigo 0
BETHEL – Josie Reiss led all players with three goals and one assist as Telstar routed Dirigo 4-0 in a field hockey match-up held Wednesday afternoon.
Whitney Mills scored the first goal for the Rebels, before Reiss exploded in the second half to tally her three unanswered goals.
Brianna Douglass neeed to stop just one shot to preserve the shutout win for Telstar. In net for the Dirigo effort was Courtney Knox, who turned aside 20 shots.
York 3, Gray/New Gloucester 0
GRAY – Christine Buford tallied a goal and was credited with an assist as York beat Gray/New Gloucestor 3-0 in a hard-fought field hockey battle Wednesday. Emily Morin and Anna-Claire Pierce each score for the York win as well.

Jay/Livermore 1, Dirigo 0
DIXFIELD – Katie Webster scored on a penalty kick just 12 minutes into the first half to give Jay/Livermore a 1-0 victory over Dirigo in a girl’s soccer tilt Wednesday. Katie Beaulieu made nine saves in net for Jay/Livermore (2-10) to notch the shutout.
Lanette Bryant turned aside eight shots between the posts for the Cougars (2-10-2).
Winthrop 0, Lisbon 0
LISBON – The Winthrop and Lisbon squads battled up and down the field Wednesday afternoon but came away with a 0-0 deadlock.
The Greyhounds (6-5-1) came close once when Kerstin Kenney bounced a shot off the crossbar late in the first half.
Anna Smithgall turned back seven shots in net for the Ramblers (8-3-1), while Sam Purcell made six saves for Lisbon.
Hall-Dale 3, Monmouth 0
MONMOUTH – Hayley Longfellow notched a pair of goals as Hall-Dale beat Monmouth 3-0 in more local soccer action held Wednesday.
Arian Kumlangngan rounded out the scoring for Hall-Dale (10-2), while all three assists were credited to Michelle Severance.
Ally Godbout made eight saves en route to the shutout victory.
Erskine 5, Oak Hill 0
CHINA – Five different players registered a goal as Erskine shut down Oak Hill 5-0 in KVAC action.
Erskine enjoyed a 33-4 shot advantage as Jessica St.Amand, Brittany Belden, Brittany Doughty, Ashley Peaslee and Rachel Siegfriedt each tallied a goal and the Eagles remained perfect at 12-0 on the season.
Maggie Sabine and Andrea Jenney shared time in net for the Radiers (3-9).
