AUGUSTA – Muriel Schwinn took a cross from Lindsey Rogers from the left flank and scored the only goal with 28:38 left as Edward Little blanked Cony, 1-0, in KVAC soccer action.

Kirsten Prue stopped seven shots in net to pick up the shutout for the Red Eddies (6-4). Erica Adams had four saves for Cony (4-6).

Lisbon 3, Monmouth 0

LISBON – Three different Lisbon players notched a goal to lead the Greyhounds to a 3-0 win over Monmouth Wednesday afternoon.

Ashley Beaulieu and Ramona Mainit each tallied unassisted goals, while Kerstyn Kenney converted a pass from Sierra Guay for the victorious Greyhounds (5-4).

Samantha Purcell needed to make just three saves to preserve the shutout. Katie Woodman made 19 saves for Monmouth.

Mtn. Valley 4, Boothbay 1

BOOTHBAY – Kristen Blais and Terissa Ridge each scored a goal and registered an assist to lead Mountain Valley to a 4-1 victory over Boothbay.

Also scoring for the Falcons (7-3) were Christie Volkernick and Jessie Sirois.

Mt. Abram 2, Wiscasset 0

SALEM – Rebecca London tallied a goal and was credited with an assist as Mt. Abram posted a 2-0 win over Wiscasset on Wednesday.

Morgan Cummings scored a goal after London crossed a pass to her 19:18 into the contest.

London was set up by Maria Parrett in the second half .

Goalie Kenni Norton stopped five shots for the Roadrunners (6-2-1) shutout.

Hall-Dale 4, Dirigo 1

DIXFIELD – Amy Skillings socred the first and fourth goals for Hall-Dale, and recorded an assist, as Hall-Dale posted the 4-1 win over Dirigo in an MVC soccer match-up.

The Cougars’ (2-6-2) lone goal was netted unassisted by Jazmine Brooks.

Field Hockey
Mtn. Valley 4, Jay 1

RUMFORD – Mountain Valley erupted for three goals in the second half to break a one-all tie and post a 4-1 win over Jay in MVC field hockey action.

Lauren LePage and Shawnee Akers each tallied a pair of goals a piece for the Falcons (3-6).

The lone Jay (7-2) goal was scored unassisted by Liz LeBlanc, who fired what proved to be a successful shot from the top of the circle.

Livermore Falls 3, Boothbay 1

LIVERMORE FALLS – Freshman Annika Durrell put a pair of goals in during the second half to give Livermore Falls the advantage they would need to post the 3-1 win over Boothbay in field hockey Wednesday.

Megan Therrien was credited with two assists, including one to her sister Hannah who scored the first Andies (5-4) goal of the game.

Lisbon 4, Hall-Dale 2

LISBON – Amanda Stevens and Kate Dingley netted two goals a piece, and were each credited with an assist as Lisbon topped Hall-Dale by a score of 4-2.

The Greyhound (6-3) midfielders did a solid job of moving the ball into scoring position for the forward line.

Winthrop 4, Dirigo 0

WINTHROP – Brianna Tupper led Winthrop with two goals and two assists as the Ramblers scored four unanswered goals in a 15 minute time span to blow the contest open and post a 4-0 win over Dirigo Wednesday.

Kelsey Ouellette and Kenzie Hill each scoried for Winthrop (6-3), each with an assist from Tupper. Ouellette also had two assists on the day.

Emily Vickerson made six saves in the shutout win.

Telstar 7, Georges Valley 0

THOMASTON – Whitney Mills led all players, tallying four goals and recording one assist, to lead Telstar to a 70 win over Georges Valley on Wednesday afternoon.

Bailey Davis and Chelsea Bean each had a goal and an assist for the win as well, while Sam Largess rounded out the scoring effort for the undefeated Rebels (9-0).

Boys’Soccer
Hebron 1, Hyde 1

BATH – The Hebron and Hyde boys soccer teams drew to a 1-1 tie Wednesday afternoon.

For Hebron, Ku Young picked up the goal after converting a pass from Austin Grande. Hyde’s lone goal came from Josh Dubinsky.

Hebron keeper Nick Brigham, made seven saves.

Rangeley 5, GPC 1

RANGELEY – Five different players scored as Rangeley topped Greater Portland Christian Academy by a score of 5-1 in boys’ soccer action Wednesday.

Luke Hammond and Devin Sargeant each had a goal and an assist apiece.

while Alex Rodway, Andrew Tralesky, and Kasey Clark each scored for the Lakers as well.
