RUMFORD – Jake Marceau netted a pair of goals to pace Livermore Falls to a 4-1 victory over Mountain Valley in MVC boys’ soccer action Wednesday.

Khyle Whittemore and Zach Keene also tallied for the Andies (6-2) to complete the scoring. Markus Ryder made seven saves in net to notch the win.

Curtis Bolduc scored the Falcons’ (2-5) lone goal in the first half, while Bryan Canwell was stellar in goal with 30 saves in the game.

Dirigo 4, Telstar 1

DIXFIELD – Jon Smith registered a hat trick to propel Dirigo to a 4-1 victory over Telstar in another MVC boy’s soccer tilt Wednesday.

Adam Law also tallied for the Cougars (6-1-1) to complete the scoring. Two of Smith’s goals and that of Law were aided by Colby Knapp throw-ins, with Knapp credited with three assists. Archie Ray made nine saves in net to notch the win.

The Rebels (5-2) received their lone goal from Frankie Delduca, an unassisted effort with 25 minutes remaining in regulation. Alex Ganderson turned aside 15 shots in net for Telstar.

NYA 3, St. Dom’s 2

YARMOUTH – Taylor Gorman snuck his way through the St. Dom’s defense and poked in the game-winning goal to lift North Yarmouth Academy to a 3-2 win over St. Dom’s on Wednesday.

Gorman scored two goals in the game for the Panthers (5-2), while Henry Gleason also netted a goal for the win.

St. Dom’s (6-1) first goal came off a penalty kick by Will Emerson. Jack Erickson picked up a through-pass from Matt Barlion and fired a shot to notch the second Saints goal.

Lisbon 3, Monmouth 0

MONMOUTH – Cam Bubar netted a pair of goals to pace Lisbon to a 3-0 rout over Monmouth in another MVC tilt Wednesday.

Eric Mutzgor also tallied for the Greyhounds to complete the scoring. Mike Call made eight saves in net to preserve the shutout. Dylan Reny turned aside 17 shots in goal for Monmouth.

Maranacook 1, Oak Hill 0

WALES – Tyler DeAngelis scored 28 minutes into the first half to lead undefeated Maranacook to the 1-0 win over Oak Hill in what proved to be a hard-fought contest.

Oak Hill (1-5-1) had several scoring opportunities in the first half but were unable to convert. Maranacook’s (7-0) defense held strong throughout the second half to keep the Raiders off the scoreboard.
