JAY – Zane Armandi came within one hit-batsman of a perfect game, leading Jay to an 11-0 triumph over winless Carrabec.
Armandi fanned nine batters and did not issue a walk, while Jay’s defense was perfect behind its junior hurler. Armandi also helped out on offense with a single and double.
Shane Lefevbre had two hits and two RBIs, while Mike Nemi drove in three runs. Mike Holland also had two hits for Jay (9-0).
All nine Jay starters scored.
Mt. Blue 10, Mt. Ararat 1
FARMINGTON – Hal Robbins had two hits with a game-high three RBIs to carry Mt. Blue to a 10-1 victory over Mt. Ararat.
Bobby Duley added two hits and two RBIs for the Cougars (4-4). Adam Gilbert picked up the win in six innings of work, with four strikeouts.
Marshall Chick hit a triple for Mt. Ararat (5-3).
Buckfield 2, Rangeley 1
BUCKFIELD – Jamie Henderson singled to drive in Matt Lowell with the winning run in the fifth inning to lift Buckfield to a 2-1 victory over Rangeley.
Henderson also picked up the win on the mound, scattering six hits, while striking out five and walking one. Dillon Emery had the only extra-base hit of the game with a double, while Chris Reuter had two hits for the Bucks (7-1).
Luke Hammond had solid performance for the Lakers, fanning 12 batters and scoring the lone Rangeley run.
Edward Little 9, Morse 2
AUBURN – Justin Ciszewski paved the way with three hits, three RBIs, and three stolen bases as Edward Little topped Morse 9-2.
Tyler Dorris hit an RBI double in the first, while Derek Doucette finished the game with two hits and three RBIs for the Red Eddies (4-3). Winning pitcher Jacob Marcum struck out eight batters in six innings, before Dorris stepped in to strike out two more in the seventh.
The Shipbuilders (4-4) were led by Kevin Hutchison with three hits and two RBIs.
Telstar 12, Lisbon 2
BETHEL – Gavin Boomhall’s three-run homer in the fifth inning ended the contest, leaving Telstar on top 12-2 over Lisbon.
Nathan Walker hit a bases-clearing double, while Stephen Scotti had an RBI double for the Rebels (3-3). Walker ended the day with four hits and four RBIs.
Kyle Neagle hit a double for Lisbon (5-3).
St. Dom’s 7, Gray-NG 0
AUBURN – Brady Blackman had a pair of hits and three RBIs as St. Dom’s shut out Gray-New Gloucester 7-0 on Monday.
Blackman was also the pitcher of record for the Saints (4-1), giving up two hits and fanning 11 batters. Blackman pitched a no-hitter into the sixth inning before Tim McLean hit a one-out single. Greg Labonte had a pair of RBIs for St. Dom’s.
Connor Welch was tagged with the loss for the Patriots (4-5).
Liv. Falls 9, Hall-Dale 8
LIVERMORE FALLS – Jake Marceau smacked a ground-rule double in the bottom of the eighth inning to score Zack Keene and give Livermore Falls a 9-8 win over Hall-Dale.
Keene singled and stole second before Marceau’s game-winner. Marceau also hit a three-run homer in the first inning for the Andies (2-6), and came in to pitch in the fourth inning, collecting eight strikeouts and the victory.
Hall-Dale (2-5) was led by Matt Richwalder, who hit a solo homer in the seventh inning to push the game into extra innings. James Bell contributed a two-run homer, while Josh Grant hit an RBI double in the fifth.
Winslow 10, Oak Hill 9
WINSLOW – Josh Weed hit a two-run double in the seventh inning to plate the tying and winning run, lifting Winslow to a 10-9 triumph over Oak Hill.
Corey Martin had a two-run double for the Black Raiders (7-1).
Josh Jillson, Brian Bisson, and Mike Eaton each hit two-run doubles for Oak Hill (4-4).
Maranacook 2, Lincoln 1
READFIELD – Mike Poulin scored on an error in the seventh inning to give Maranacook a 2-1 advantage over Lincoln Academy.
Poulin reached third on a passed ball, before coming home with the winning run. Ryan Martin and Billy Ervine each hit doubles for the Black Bears (7-2).
Justin Denbow was solid on the mound for Marancook, striking out eight batters.
Gardiner 15, Leavitt 5
GARDINER – Sean McNally hit a two-run single to invoke the 10-run rule in the bottom of the sixth as Gardiner defeated Leavitt 15-5.
McNally also contributed a two-run double, while Nick Godfrey smacked a three-run double for the Tigers (6-2).
The Hornets (1-7) were paced by Chris Brewer with a two-run double.
Falmouth 6, Poland 2
POLAND – Matt Parks smacked an RBI double in the seventh inning to lead Falmouth to a 6-2 win over Poland.
The Yachtsman played a strong defensive game, which helped them capture the win. Tony Galli contributed three hits and two RBIs.
Jason Lehr hit a double for Poland, and Eric Picard added a pair of hits.
Cony 15, Lewiston 4
AUGUSTA – Cony took advantage of 14 walks to open up a 10-run lead by the second inning en route to a 15-4 triumph over Lewiston.
Joe Lajok was the lone repeat hitter for the Rams (2-6).
Robbie Leeman, Chad Guimond, and Jon Paradis each smacked doubles for the Blue Devils (3-5).
Brunswick 16, Oxf. Hills 12
SOUTH PARIS – Jeff Sickel hit a two-run double in the fifth and a three-run double in the sixth to lead Brunswick to a 16-12 victory over Oxford Hills.
Sickel also threw three innings of scoreless relief to pick up the win for the Dragons (6-2). Nate Wholrobe had two hits, including a double and two RBIs for Brunswick, while Chris Sawyer had four hits.
Ryan Yates had a double, single and three RBIs for the Vikings (4-4). Dan Millett added two hits, including a two-run double.
Dirigo 6, Boothbay 2
BOOTHBAY – Dakota Holmquist hit a double as Dirigo topped Boothbay 6-2.
The game was tied 2-2 until the top of the seventh, when the Cougars scored four unanswered runs. Roy Arsenault smacked a home run for Boothbay (2-5).
Monmouth 6, Winthrop 4
MONMOUTH – Ronnie Hobson hit a bases-clearing triple in the second and an RBI double in the sixth to lead Monmouth to a 6-4 victory over Winthrop.
Ben Seefeldt hit an RBI double, while Ricky Pelletier smacked a double and a triple for Monmouth (4-0).
Travis Frautten had a double for Winthrop (4-2).

Gardiner 12, Edw. Little 2
GARDINER – David Minkley netted a game-high four goals to power Gardiner to a 12-2 triumph over Edward Little in a KVAC boys’ lacrosse action Monday.
Kolby Peckham added three goals for the Tigers (7-0). Gardiner Goalkeeper Eric Fisk stopped 15 shots in net.
Zach Ward and Andrew Brodsky scored the lone goals for Edward Little (1-5).
