JAY – Kaylie DeMillo poured in 20 points as Jay knotched an important win over Madison, 53-49, in MVC girls’ basketball action Monday night.
Liz Leblanc backed up DeMillo with 12 points for the Tigers (11-6). Margo Russell led Madison (11-7) with 15 points.
Wiscasset 48, Lisbon 42
LISBON – Marissa Hammond downed 12 points as Wiscasset edged past Lisbon to post a 48-42 win in a MVC girls’ hoops match-up Monday.
Foxfire Buck chipped in with 10 points, while Lauren Etter added nine for the Redskins (2-15) win.
Mindy Sullivan poured in nine points and had 13 boards, while Emily Moore contributed nine points and six steals for the Greyhounds (0-17) effort. Christy McAuliffe added 11 points.
Dirigo 75, Carrabec 33
NORTH ANSON – Michelle Holmquist lit up the boards with a game-high 20 points as Dirigo posted a 75-33 romp over Carrabec Monday evening.
Shannon Daley and Holly Knight added 12 and 10 points, respectively.
The Cobras’ effort was led by Amy Camobell with 12 points and six rebounds, while Cori Goodwin tallied six rebounds, six steals, four points, three assists, and two blocks.
