MONMOUTH – Taryn Flagg poured in 21 points to power Livermore Falls to a triumphant 73-43 victory over Monmouth in MVC girls’ hoops Tuesday.
Flagg tallied four 3-pointers throughout the game. The Andies outscored Monmouth 25-11 in the third quarter to help propel them to the win. Lacy Hazelton and Jenika Kelly each added 10 points for Livermore Falls (9-3).
The Mustangs (4-9) were paced by Jenn Lola with 13 points and Lindsay Scirica with 10.
Buckfield 48, Hebron 8
BUCKFIELD – Alyssa Henderson downed a game-high 11 points as Buckfield dominated Hebron for a 48-8 triumph in girls’ hoops action Tuesday.
Abby Jones added nine points for the Bucks (7-5).
The Huskies (0-10) were paced by Sara Powers with seven points.
Hall-Dale 64, Telstar 31
FARMINGDALE – Chelsey Dionne poured in 19 points and hauled down 15 rebounds to lead Hall-Dale to a 64-31 victory over Telstar in MVC girls’ action.
Caitlyn Laflin chipped in for the undefeated Bulldogs (14-0) with 15 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Dionne is quickly approaching 1,000 points in her career, with just 12 more to go before reaching the milestone.
Kelsey Dole led the Rebels (10-4) with eight points, while Bailey Davis added seven. Hall-Dale jumped out to a 23-11 lead in the first half and cruised to a comfortable win.
Rangeley 49, Kents Hill 41
RANGELEY – Ashley Quimby and Nicole Crupi scored 12 points apiece to lead Rangeley to a 49-41 victory over Kents Hill Tuesday night.
Ashley Morton contributed with 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Lakers (9-2).
Kents Hill (7-2) was led by Aliegh Mills with 14 points and Lili Pettingill with 11.
Madison 57, Lisbon 39
MADISON – Margo Russell scored 18 points, 12 of which came from the free throw line, as Madison downed Lisbon 57-39 Tuesday night.
Madison outscored the Greyhounds 34-11 over the middle two quarters.
Lisbon was lead by Mindy Sullivan with 11 points.
Mt. Blue 47, Brewer 43
FARMINGTON – Christina Mosher dropped in 20 points as Mt Blue slid past Brewer 47-43 in KVAC basketball Tuesday night.
Alyson Webster added 13 for the Cougars.
Brewer was led by Elizabeth Cote with 14 points and Katie Quimby with 12.
Dirigo 55, Wiscasset 24
DIXFIELD – Holly Knight poured in 17 points and seven rebounds to spark Dirigo to a 55-24 triumph over Wiscasset in girls’ hoops action Tuesday.
Michelle Holmquist added 11 points, while Katherine Gagne contributed nine points, three assists and two steals for the Cougars (11-2).
The Redskins (1-11) were led by Megan Foye with six points.
Winthrop 57, Mt. Abram 49
SALEM – Katie Pushard had a solid game, tallying 23 points to lead Winthrop to a 57-49 victory over Mt. Abram in girls’ basketball Tuesday evening.
Pushard downed 10 of Winthrop’s 13 points in the fourth quarter, and led the running offense throughout the contest. Emilie Knight contributed 14 points for the Ramblers (11-3).
Brittany York netted 18 points, while Logahn Walker added 11 for the Roadrunners (6-8).
Camden Hills 67, Maranacook 37
READFIELD – Kayla Gushee drained a game-high 20 points Tuesday to pace unbeaten Camden Hills to a 67-37 romp over Maranacook in a KVAC girls’ hoops matchup.
Camden Hills jumped out to a 25-8 lead in the first quarter and never trailed.
Carly Holgerson chipped in for the Windjammers (13-0) with 16 points, the only other player to reach double digits.
Shannon Bean led the Black Bears (6-7) with 19 points, while Jackie Mrazik tallied 10.
Medomak Valley 54, Oak Hill 21
WALES – Audrey Ahlholm tallied 14 points as Medomak Valley rolled past Oak Hill for a 54-21 victory.
Anna Lufkin added 11 points for the Panthers (3-10). Medomak Valley held the scoring advantage throughout the game.
Kristen Eaton scored seven points for Oak Hill. Ashley Delaney stepped up for the Raiders (1-12) and had 11 rebounds.
Mt. Ararat 71, Leavitt 63
TURNER – Jess Stahl dominated on the court with 23 points as Mt. Ararat topped Leavitt 71-63 in girls’ basketball action Tuesday.
The Eagles (5-6) had a strong third quarter, outscoring Leavitt 22-9, giving them the push they needed to cement the win. Kelsi Eiane added 16 points to the win.
The Leavitt (0-11) hard-fought effort was led by Stephanie Healy with a game-high 25 points. Brittany Duncan added 11 points.
