=DUBLIN, Ohio – Sabrina Cote of Dexter and Luke Trafton of Bath received recognition as Maine state winners for the 2005 Wendy’s High School Heisman Awards. The annual award celebrates high school seniors who excel in athletics, academics, and community service.

Maine’s winners join two winners from each state and the District of Columbia. Each winner will received a silver medal. They will also compete in the next round of the national competition where 12 national finalists – a male and a female from six regions – will be selected. National finalists will be announced mid-November and national winners will be named in December.

Several students locally will receive bronze medals as finalists, including Soleil Mathieu from Lisbon, Taryn Flagg from Livermore Falls, and Kristen Arsenault from Mountain Valley High school.
