WATERVILLE – Zach Timmermeyer belted a two-run home run in the third inning to lead Lewiston to a 7-4 victory over Waterville in KVAC baseball action on Tuesday.

Timmermeyer led the Blue Devils (7-8) with three hits overall, while pitcher Luke Potter smacked an RBI double. Potter earned his fifth mound win, scattering seven hits in a compete game.

Barrett Moore led Waterville (8-7) with two hits, while Brian Tormolan belted a double. Nick Stone handled pitching duties and suffered the loss after a damaging third inning.

Skowhegan 1, EL 0

SKOWHEGAN – Brad Beaureguard bounced a fielders’ choice to second in the bottom of the first inning to give Skowhegan a 1-0 win over Edward Little in KVAC baseball play on Tuesday.

Mike LaCasse led off the bottom of the first with a single to left field, advanced on a Ryan York sacrifice and raced home with the game-winning run on Beaureguard’s fielders’ choice.

Matt Ouellette picked up the win for the Indians (8-8) with a complete game. Kyle Giguere took the loss for the Red Eddies (10-5).

Telstar 18, Georges Valley 3

THOMASTON – A five-run fifth inning ignited by a two-RBI single by Blake Conrad propelled Telstar to an 18-3 win over Georges Valley in MVC baseball action on Tuesday.

With the score tied a four apiece, the Rebels (10-4) exploded for 14 unanswered runs in the final three innings to put the game out of reach.

Josh Langway picked up the win with relief help from Nathan Walker and Ryan Savage.

Jay 5, Wiscasset 4

FARMINGTON – Playing on a neutral field due to weather conditions, Jay edged Wiscasset 5-4 in MVC baseball play on Tuesday.

Trailing 4-2 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning, the Tigers pushed across three runs to take the lead. Joel Ouellette scored from third base with the eventual game-winner as Ryan DiPompo grounded out, allowing Ouellette to advance on the throw to first. DiPompo, Steve Nelson and Jamison Turner were repeat hitters in the victory.

Jacob Farington picked up the win in relief of Steve Nelson who went five innings.

Hall-Dale 2, Livermore Falls 1

FARMINGDALE – A bases-loaded walk to Luke Wheelock forced Nick Yarbrough across the plate in the bottom of the seventh inning, lifting Hall-Dale to a 2-1 win over Livermore Falls in MVC baseball action on Tuesday afternoon.

The Andies (9-7) jumped out to an early lead when Brad Bryant drilled a triple in the top of the second inning.

He then promptly stole home for Livermore Falls’ only run as the Bulldogs’ (7-8) Sam Shain closed the door with a complete game effort.

Oak Hill 6, Camden 3

CAMDEN -Justin Plourde scattered six hits and allowed just three runs as Oak Hill closed out its regular season with a 6-3 victory over Camden in baseball action on Tuesday.

Wally Rines led the Raiders (7-9) with two RBI triples, while Nathan Guerrette belted out a double.

Catcher Noah Burke led Camden (5-11) with an RBI double, while Carlo Light suffered the loss. Oak Hill scored four runs in the third inning and never looked back.

Leavitt 5, Messalonskee 0

OAKLAND — Tyler Angel hit a two-run homer to lead Leavitt to a 5-0 win over Messalonskee in KVAC baseball action on Tuesday.

Angel finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Hornets (4-11) while Kurt Knight had two runs batted in on the strength of two singles and a double. Winning pitcher Adam Sawyer went the distance for Leavitt, striking out four batters.

Dan Coulombe had a triple and a single to the lead the Eagles (4-11).

Lacrosse

Gorham 10, St. Dom’s 9

AUBURN — Brandon Byan scored three goals to lift Gorham to a triumphant 10-9 victory over St. Dom’s in a WMC lacrosse nail-biter on Tuesday afternoon.

Brandon Laughlin and Tom Mollett added two goals each for the Rams (7-5) while Allen Duncan and Alex Doms each finished with three assists. Brian Pulman was solid in the net for Gorham, making 14 saves on 27 shots for the win.

Tavian MacKinnon led the Saints (7-5) with three goals scored.
